'Gravelmouth' Mick King rose to fame alongside rock acts such as Tumbleweed and the Screaming Jets with his hard rock outfit Hound.

When band members went their separate ways Mick returned to his blues roots studying at the Australian Institute of Music in Sydney.

The Australian legend of boogie bass is just as comfortable on his '69 Telecaster electric bass 'Lucy' as he is on the double bass (or 'Bull Fiddle' as country folk call it).

Mick earned the name 'Gravelmouth' from his distinctive vocal style and teaches bass from his home in the mangrove swamps of Newcastle to dedicated musicians he 'gets along with'.
